Training Courses of Public Acceptance (PA), sponsored by the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, and organized by the WERC under the contract with the JAIF International Cooperation Center (JICC), is prepared for trainees, who are introducing nuclear power plants (NPPs) to their country, to realize their smooth development of the implementation plan of the nuclear power, utilizing Japanese rich experience and training facilities related to NPPs. Gaining public consensus to NPPs is a key issue to develop country’s nuclear power, eliminating public worries arisen from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.
      The PA course covers topics on radiation effects on human body, PA of NPPs, ways for constructing good relationship with local community, nuclear safety culture, and risk communication.
