Course of Nuclear Power Generation Safety Bases (NSB)

Training Courses of Nuclear Power Generation Safety Bases (NSB) is sponsored by the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, and organized by the WERC under the contract with the JAIF International Cooperation Center (JICC). The NSB course is prepared for trainees, who are introducing nuclear power plants (NPPs) to their country, to realize their smooth development of the implementation plan of the nuclear power, utilizing Japanese rich experience and training facilities related to NPPs.
      Establishing safety bases for NPPs is a key issue to develop country’s nuclear power, eliminating public worries arisen from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.
      The NSB course covers topics on Japanese and international nuclear regulations, safety enhancement after the Fukushima Daiichi accident, safety evaluation of NPPs, environmental site evaluation, and nuclear emergency preparedness and responses.
